“Our family numbers 30 ranging in age from 2-72 and the Hillside Acre Resort worked out perfectly! The cabins were clean and well appointed (beds slept well) with full kitchens including all the accessories needed to enjoy an elongated weekend. Our experience started with the owners, who couldn't have been more hospitable--everything was ready when we arrived, which made the vacation go without a hitch. We didn't play all the games available--but that was our fault. It was a couple of warm days in June, so we spent most of our time in the pool having a great time playing water volleyball. We did catch a few fish, which was great for the kids, and in two cases the first fish ever caught by a couple of our grandkids. The barbeque area was great and well equipped as we tested it with Brisket, smoked pork and our usual hamburgers and brats. The most outstanding feature was the pavilion. It was air-conditioned and had tables and chairs to seat 45, which is hard to find in most vacation rentals. Although there were light cooking facilities on the inside, the outside had a flat-top cooking griddle that worked well for our breakfast Tacos, pancakes and veggies for our fajitas--great addition to the pavilion! The rainwater system ensured the water was good and a real environment saver! As our family groups left to go home, they asked which dates for next year! Those are the questions that place the final stamp of approval on the place--so Hillside Acres is back in our sights for 2025! Thanks Mike and your team!”

“We’ve been coming to Hillside Acres for the past 5 years or so, and it’s wonderful. It’s far enough off the beaten path to be incredibly quiet at night (we forget how much background noise there is back home), but not so far that running to the grocery store or a nice restaurant is more than 15min away. The grounds have open spaces for games, a little pond for fishing, and are just a nice walk, especially down by the creek. Hillside Acres is super close to state parks and natural areas; anywhere from 15min to Pedernales to an hour for Inks Lake and others, depending on how far you want to drive. But if you aren’t much of a hiker and want some nice walks, there are more leisurely city/county parks both in Dripping Springs and Wimberley. We hope to keep coming back for years.”

“A secret gem in the Texas Hill Country! These beautiful cabins are perfect- 2 bedrooms, a fully-equipped kitchen, living rooms and front porch. The way the bathroom is arranged allows for more than 1 person to get ready in the morning. My family enjoyed the bocce ball courts, fire pit, BBQ area, frisbee golf, pool and the grounds in general.”
